Biomass Heating
Biomass can be used to provide heating via two main methods. Stand alone stoves (usually fed with wood pellets) provide space heating to individual rooms. Modern stoves have temperature and timer controls incorporated as well as fans that distribute the warm air. Biomass boilers can be connected to a building’s central heating and/or hot water system. Modern boilers operate at extremely high efficiencies (often in excess of 90%) ensuring ultra-low emissions.
