Ground Source Heat Pumps

A metre or so beneath the ground temperatures remain relatively constant, in the UK at around 10°C. A Ground Source heat pump takes advantage of these constant temperatures, upgrades them and transfers the heat to a building. Their installation would involve either the digging of a trench system or the drilling of a borehole.
